The Digital Economy All Party Parliamentary Group DEAPPG is based in Portcullis House, Westminster. The group was started by Eric Joyce MP in May 2010 in response to the DE Bill/Act and conversations in social media (Twitter #deact).

Aims of the DEAPPG
- to provide a platform for discussions about the DE Act and related policies
- to inform MPs of issues related to the UK digital economy
- to share information about policy related activity in the HoC and HoL
- to hold events and meetings
- to work with other political groups
